Windswept in New York City: Bridal and Fashion Portraits at New York City Public Library and Top of the Rock with Marchesa Gowns

New York City will always be the epicenter of fashion. With my film camera in hand and a vision of stunning bridal portraits at the New York Public Library in mind, I was exceedingly lucky to work with the team at Marchesa and style and photograph their most show-stopping, newly-released bridal gown for this session.

Inspired by the soft, warm colors of sunset over the city skyline and a touch of blue to represent the towering buildings, Designs by Ahn created a stunning tulip-based bouquet and Marina from Stacie Ford Beauty Co achieved the perfect effortless bridal hair and makeup.

Following our bridal portraits at New York Public Library, we ventured up to Top of the Rock, having Julieta swiftly change gowns in the interim. This light blue Marchesa gown was a dramatic showstopper, and with a large matching piece of tulle I’d picked up from my favorite East Coast Trimming in the garment district the day before, I was able to create glowing, windswept portraits on film, with the New York City skyline and sunset glow in the background.

Our team was thrilled to have these images published on the cover of Paris-based Moevir magazine January 2021 issue.
